Branding Project: Cheerful Vineyard

An Introduction to Cheerful Vineyard
Cheerful Vineyard is an outdoor vineyard located in the Northern Bay Area of California. Cheerful Vineyard just celebrated its 20th anniversary. With the vineyard's anniversary coming up the owners thought it was time for a rebrand of the company's logo. Customers come to Cheerful Vineyard to enjoy great wine and a happy atmosphere. Cheerful Vineyard is known for its large acreage and beautiful scenery. Cheerful Vineyard is open spring through fall and has different wine for each season. The vineyard is not only known for its wine tasting events, but is also a beautiful wedding vendor. This vineyard sparks nothing but joy for customers which is why it is called Cheerful Vineyard.
Overview of the Logo and It's Usage
This logo was created as a part of a rebrand for Cheerful Vineyard. When creating the logo I feel it was important that the logo made people feel happy and cheerful. I also felt it was important for the logo to remind people of the excitement of a vineyard. I incorporated a mix of dark colors to remind people of wine and pastel colors to represent cheerfulness. The logo is a mix of elegance and modern. This logo will look great small or large, or in black or white.
The logo will be used for business cards, menus, advertisements, social media, and to add to wine bottle stickers. Cheerful Vineyard has access to use this logo for any of the company's needs. This logo is not for use of anyone outside of the company. This logo is also not for use of any kind without permission of the owners of Cheerful Vineyard.

Sources of Inspiration

The first source of inspiration for this logo was the brand "Drink Babe". I enjoy how modern the brand is and wanted to incorporate it into the Cheerful Vineyard Logo.
I found a similar font and used it for the word "cheerful" in the logo. I think it makes it have a simple and modern look.

My next source of inspiration was the vines in a vineyard. I used to dark green on the word vineyard to remind people of the colors they see when coming to a vineyard. I also used a cursive font to replicate a similar look of curvy vines.

My last source of inspiration was wine itslelf. I love the color of a dark red wine. I knew I wanted to incorporate it somewhere in the logo. I decided to use a wine bottle as the bottom leg of the "L" in "Cheerful". I thought a unique touch would be to have wine spilling out. It also gives the logo a pop of the wine color.
The Color Set
Below are the colors I used for the Cheerful Vineyard logo. I picked these colors because they remind me of the landscape at a vineyard. The blue represents the sky and the glasses. The dark greens remind me of the vines growing. The pastel yellow reminds me of the sun and happiness (emphasizing cheerfulness). Lastly, the deep red reminds me of wine.

The fonts I chose for the Cheerful Vineyard Logo were DIN Condensed in the bold setting and SignPainter. I chose these fonts because they have an interesting contrast. I also think that they combine the look of elegance with simplicity.
