Have you ever wondered what makes the best cooks foods so good? Today I looked into -- chefs and what they said their secret ingredients were! You would be surprised to see how simple these ingredients actually are, and how many of them are in your pantry!


Gordon Ramsay

According to Delish one of Gordon Ramsay's secret ingredients is butter! While he was sharing with Good America how to make burgers, he stated that he brushes the outside of his burgers with butter to give it a caramelized flavor while cooking.



Bobby Flay


On the Today Show, Bobby Flay discussed what he uses to take his pasta to the next level.

According to Bobby, he uses breadcrumbs on his pasta to add a little crunch. According to the article from Today.com Bobby says “(The competitors) are so good. They are amazing chefs, but when I put the crunch in there, it’s a little extra thing that the judges like.”


Guy Fieri


Guy Fieri has a secret sauce that he has always used called "Donkey Sauce". According to Delish Guy finally released what the recipe actually was for it, and it turns out it is just a simple aioli. The article from Delish states "Yup, that's right. Fieri's most famous ingredient is just your average blend of garlic, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper."


Alton Brown


According to a video on Food Network, Alton Brown shared that his secret ingredient at home is actually Bourbon. He likes bourbon because of the flavor bourbon can bring to a variety of dishes. In the video he states "Bourbon can enhance the taste of a humble dish such as Banana Foster."
